Use this tool to convert existing Scalable Mesh files (3SM) toWeb Ready 3D Scalable Mesh format and upload it to ProjectWise ContextShare.

Access the tool:

• Realty Modeling workflow: Deliver tab > Export > Upload
• Open Reality Mesh Attachments dialog then select File.

Subscription

ProjectWise ContextShare is a cloud service for storing, managing, and sharing Reality data.

To upload Scalable Meshes to ProjectWise ContextShare, you must have a Reality Modeling visa subscription. To obtain a visa subscription, please contact your Account Manager.

Permissions

There are two ways to grant permission to users to create Reality Data:

1. ProjectWise ContextShare - Create role.
   • An Administrator or Co-administrator can assign this role from the "User Management" tile of the Enterprise portal.
   • This grants the user permission to create Reality Data that are not associated to any CONNECT project. It also grants the user permission to create Reality Data and associate it to any of the Enterprise projects, regardless of the user's permissions on the projects.
   Note: If the "ProjectWise ContextShare - Create" role is not listed, please contact Bentley's Technical support.
2. ProjectWise ContextShare "Create" permission.
   • An Administrator, Co-administrator or Project Manager can assign this permission from the "Project Team Management" page of any CONNECT page.
   • This grants the user permission to create Reality Data and associate it to the project.

Uploading

To upload to ProjectWise ContextShare, the active WorkSet must be assigned to a Bentley CONNECT ProjectWise Project to which the uploaded Reality Data will be associated.

When starting the tool, you are prompted to select a Scalable Mesh (3SM) file on disk to upload to ProjectWise Contextshare.

Once uploaded, the Web Ready 3D Scalable Mesh is automatically attached to the Reality Mesh attachments dialog.
